Borrow a meter and find out how much power you use

Power-Mate meters

Find out what your power use is costing you and the environment by borrowing a Power-Mate from our libraries.

The Power-Mate is a hand-held meter which can be connected to any electronic appliance and measures the power in watts, voltage and current.

The meter can also tell you:

  • The cost of running the appliance
  • How much energy the appliance used in kilowatt-hours
  • How many kilograms of greenhouse gas emissions it produced

Just ask us for Power-Mate or search for Power-Mate on the library catalogue.
